Do you charge a room hire fee?
Yes, we charge a room hire for our private spaces
The room hire includes:
5 hour room hire
Host, Bar and Wait staff
Linen (if applicable)
Set up and Packdown
What is a minimum spend?
A minimum spend is the amount that must be met on food and beverage purchases. Our minimum spend is required to be prepaid.
Additional costs such as Service Charge, theming, security, AV etc is not included in the minimum spend.
Does the room hire get removed if I meet the minimum spend?
The room hire is a separate cost that covers Room Hire (5 Hours), Bartender (5 Hours – If Applicable), Function Planning, Venue Liaison during your function, Audio Visual requirements, Linen & Setup. Room hire will be charged in addition to the Minimum Spend.
Do you place a tentative hold on spaces?
Yes, we allow for a 7 day tentative hold to be placed on enquires - this is dependent on other incoming enquiries and the timeframe of the event.
Is a deposit required to secure my booking? What if I change my mind after I’ve paid it?
Yes, we require a $400 deposit on all private function bookings. Deposits are non-refundable upon payment should you choose to cancel your function.
Do you allow BYO food or drinks?
We are a fully licensed pub, therefore we do not allow BYO.
Can minors attend my function?
Minors are welcome to attend provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Minors are not permitted in the hotel after 11pm.
The Australian Hotel and Brewery cannot cater towards 18th birthdays. This is due to one or more factors, the main one being the extensive licensing issues these high risk events cause for our venue.
What is the dress code?
The Australian Brewery is a relaxed and casual venue, as is our dress code.
We do however not allow the following:
Clothing with offensive language or designs
Offensive or gang related tattoos
Can we bring our own cake?
Yes, you may. We can even provide you with a knife and plates to serve it FREE of charge. Alternatively, we can cut and plate your cake for an additional fee.
Do you have a courtesy bus?
No, we do not have a courtesy bus. However, we are a 10 minute UBER ride from the closest station.
